This is Aegorton's second demo. The demo has an overarching theme of the plague, which ravaged Europe in the middle ages.
In this demo, I have improved songwriting and production, and I have included a bass guitar, which makes the music sound a lot fuller and improves the music by far. Plaguelord is 25 minutes of uninterrupted dark, ethereal evil laced with ferocious riffs, intense atmosphere, and pounding drumming. It is both abrasive and delicate, spanning the whole black metal spectrum. Plaguelord draws influence from Kvist, Burzum, Sigh, Baxaxaxa, and Les Légions Noires, combining elements of these band's sounds with Aegorton's own unique sound.
Recorded in the lair of Orthus between May and June 2015.
